Part-time Administrative Assistant

Location: Avery County, North Carolina
We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Part-Time Administrative Assistant to
support our nonprofit operations. This is a critical role requiring a high level of integrity,
attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to helping animals and the community.


Key Responsibilities:

* Provide general administrative support
* Prepare and manage documents using Microsoft Word and Excel
* Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate financial records
* Manage confidential files and sensitive information with discretion
* Perform occasional errands and local travel as needed
* Assist with preparations and tasks related to our annual fundraising event, as well as our
   year end mailings
* Perform basic bookkeeping using QuickBooks

Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Working knowledge of QuickBooks
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Proven trustworthiness and ability to handle confidential information and cash
* Must be computer literate and willing to learn new software programs
* Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently
* Willingness to go the extra mile and contribute positively to a team-oriented environment
* Knowledge of nonprofit operations is a plus

Position Type: Part-time 
Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Certified Euthanasia Technician

We are hiring for Certified Euthanasia Technician

Duties would include that of an animal caretaker along with;

1) you must pass a drug screening and background check;

2) if you haven't already, you must take the certified euthanasia class and become certified;

2) humane euthanasia of dogs and cats in shelter care who are deemed terminally ill or undadoptable;

3) maintain the security of all controlled substances and other drugs in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations;

4) humane euthanasia of dogs or cats for public

Animal Caregiver

PLEASE APPLY IN PERSON

Now hiring for part time Dog Associate positions. Starting pay $11.50/hr. *All dog associates must to be able to walk/handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments.*

Some of the responsibilities would include daily feeding and care of animals, and assisting guests with adoptions, and working alongside volunteers. Must have enthusiastic attitude, a willingness to work hard, and be a team player. Hours will vary and need to have your own transportation. Must be available to work weekends and holidays beginning at 8 a.m.
