He came to us through no fault of his own — his previous family simply had too many dogs to care for. It’s a big change for him, so he can be a little shy at first, but underneath that uncertainty is a truly loving and gentle companion. Reff has lived indoors with time outside and does a great job letting you know when he needs to go out — he’ll cry to let you know it’s potty time, which makes continuing his routine much easier in a new home. He has experience living with four other female dogs, so he’s familiar with sharing his space with canine friends. Reff has also lived with people of all ages and is described as friendly and playful with children. His previous family shared that one of Reff’s favorite things is simply being petted and loved on. Once he feels comfortable, he really enjoys the attention. He’s also a fan of car rides, which means he’d likely love tagging along for errands or little adventures with his new family. He is friendly, affectionate, playful, independent, calm, and high-energy, with a protective side as well. He absolutely loves his chew bones and enjoys having something to work on. Winston has lived with children, cats, and other dogs, and his family says he is house trained. They also let us know that he has an allergy to cat food, so his future family will need to be mindful of what he eats. This sweet boy has already been through so much.
