Gilligan is a 2-year-old American English Coonhound mix with a sweet, easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around. Transferred to us from a local rescue after being found as a stray, Gilligan is ready to leave his wandering days behind and settle into a loving home of his own. This friendly boy enjoys the simple things in life—soft places to lounge (yes, he’s been allowed on the furniture!) and spending time with his people. He’s playful and gentle with children, and he has previously stayed with a small dog, showing he can make a great companion for a variety of families. Gilligan is also impressively quiet—he hasn’t barked at anything during his time with us! For a hound, that’s pretty special. Like many food-loving pups, Gilligan will happily sniff out and snack on anything he can find, so his future family will need to be mindful about keeping food out of reach. He’s not fully house trained just yet, but with consistency and patience, he’s sure to catch on. Gilligan is looking for a home where he can relax, be loved, and continue learning what it means to be part of a family. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, companionship, and a calm, happy presence.
