"He absolutely adores children. He is exuberant and joyful and has the zoomies frequently (so may be a bit much for toddlers or the elderly with mobility concerns). He absolutely loves cats, and all small and medium dogs. He gets slightly intimidated with the very large and giant breeds we have met and seeks reassurance and hides. He is crate trained. He sleeps in bed with kids or in his kennel and does good going in to his kennel/crate with the command "get in your kennel". He is very food motivated. He has always been fed separately but has shown no concern that I have seen. He showed some resources guarding with a rawhide so has not been allowed to have those type chews, but he easily shares and plays with all toys, balls, and squeakies. He is occasionally allowed a tibetan yak chew in his kennel but tends to grumble so it is rare and more on long days or traveling. He knows sit, lay down, kennel, rollover, and will howl when you howl. He has shown tremendous early talent as a search as rescue dog, and can track and locate hiding individuals both known and unknown in small local trials and practices. As a puppy he got car sick but most recently he did well on several trips to pigeon forge with the lavender pheromones from the Best Friend Barkery OTC section. He does great with baths." Former Family Pedro was very timid and nippy at photo time so we are giving him some time to adjust before trying again.
