Dexter is a one-year-old Australian Shepherd who is as smart as he is handsome. This bright boy already knows commands like “sit” and “come,” and he’s eager to keep learning with a family who will guide him and help him shine. He’s a great communicator too—Dexter will go to the door to let you know when he needs to go out, and while he’s not fully house trained just yet, he’s well on his way. Plus, he’s crate trained, which will make the transition into a new home even smoother. Dexter has a gentle, loving side that truly makes him special. He enjoys being petted and will happily soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. He’s friendly and playful with children, making him a wonderful candidate for a family companion. He has also lived with cats and even a bunny, showing he has the potential to fit into a variety of homes. This playful pup loves car rides and is always ready for an adventure! Because of his herding instincts and curiosity, Dexter may try to chase cars, so he’ll need a family committed to helping him learn safe habits and providing him with plenty of exercise and enrichment. Dexter is looking for an active, patient home that will give him the structure, love, and fun he craves. In return, he’ll give you loyalty, companionship, and endless tail wags.
